The English Concert
The English Concert is an internationally renowned baroque orchestra, directed by harpsichordist Harry Bicket. In the summer of 2012, the orchestra gathered in the stunning surroundings of London's Foundling Museum to offer four young musicians a unique experience: a chance to lead the ensemble themselves. The master class students had the opportunity to conduct rehearsals, receiving expert guidance from Harry Bicket, before leading a public performance with the orchestra and singers Rachel Wheatley and Joshua Ellicott.
We created this film, featuring interviews with the students, musicians and world renowned singer and friend of the orchestra Andreas Scholl, to document the project and introduce a wider audience to the The English Concert’s extraordinary work.
